Meet our two-person counseling dream team!
Joey
Joey founded Thinque Prep in 2013. Using his experience as a professional independent counselor and admissions reader, he supports our Thinque Prep students through every stage of the complex college admissions process.
Joey's counseling philosophy centers on setting students up for success in their next stage of life. Joyee prides himself on bringing out the best in every student, while considering essential factors of the college admissions and selection process such as location, major, and tuition costs.
Joey personally oversees all of Thinque Prep's College Counseling students.

Sam

Supervised by Joey, Sam is Thinque Prep's Resident English Professor.
He specializes in helping students brainstorm, draft, edit, and revise their essays, PIQs, and personal statements.
Sam has worked in higher education since 2015. He started as a writing center tutor at his university, and most recently, he has worked as an adjunct professor of English at a few different Cal States and local California Community Colleges.
