Frequently Asked Questions

Is the College Admissions Intensive still worthwhile if my child cannot attend all three days?

Yes. Even if your child can only attend one day or partially attend each day, they will be able to connect with Thinque Prep's counseling team for one on one support and mingle with other local students who are going through the same rigorous admissions process. However, we cannot provide prorated rates for those who know they will not be able to attend all three days.

Will I need to pack a lunch for my child?

No. The Thinque Prep team will provide a light breakfast and a full lunch for all three days. Please notify the Thinque Prep team about any food allergies or intolerances.

Will there be adult supervision at the event?

Yes. Thinque Prep's counseling Team (Joyee and Sam) as well as a few local college reps and Breakthrough's team will all supervise and support students directly throughout the event. The event will also be held on a high school campus with a security team.

Can parents attend the event?

No. This event is for students only. We encourage parents to allow their children to be independent so they can practice self advocacy.

Thinque Prep

“Admissions officers from a multitude of great colleges around the nation participate in this ‘bootcamp-like’ yet fun environment to really give students an ‘edge’ in their application. They showcase their tips and tricks in writing and create personalized ways students can enhance their applications. After going through this eye-opening program myself, I personally can say that I have had an edge over other students in the admissions process.”
